-
This community is for anyone interested in physics of any type and at any level, from the basic/fundamental principles and ideas to modern research. We welcome questions on computational, theoretical and experimental physics, on any topic/sub-topic of physics, or interdisciplinary field that includes physics, such as biophysics and geophysics.

- Questions about any other field of study, such as mathematics, chemistry, biology or computer science are off-topic, unless the question is explicitly is about some underlying physics.
- Whatever level of question you're asking, we do however ask that you put an appropriate amount of effort into the question - if you're asking a question about a physical phenomenon described in a popular science book, it is important that you've attempted to read the description first!

-
In addition to the Codidact TOS and Code of Conduct, there are some additional rules:

-

-
While 'homework-type' questions are allowed (typically belonging in the Problems category), you need to demonstrate that you've put effort into solving that question. That is, 'do my work for me' type questions are not allowed.

-
Non-rigorous questions about personal, unpublished theories are not allowed.

-
Questions directly for ongoing exams/tests or competitions are forbidden, until the exam/test or competition is over.

-
